Always elegant

The street origins from the begining of 19th century. Buildings located along it create untypical mix of architectural styles. It is worth to mention following impressive monuments located along it:

It all started in 1910?

...when David Gronner decided to build a stylish corner tenement house on a plot of land previously belonging to the Shooters Association’s garden; with the main park currently still being only 50 m walk away. The design that he envisioned, previously included a 3-floor apartment building with commercial space on the ground floor. The initial concept was revised and after the construction began; its façade became even more decorative, resulting in a really outstanding piece and a rare example of Art Nouveau architecture design in Krakow.


History that lives on?

The building heralds original period features that appear in both its unique apartments and commercial space. The 14 apartments located on its higher floors have their original features including renovated, period doors and windows executed to match the original design dating from the beginning of the 20th Century. The thoughtful and thorough refurbishment has succeeded in restoring the splendor of the building whilst adding the highest standard technical solutions, resulting in a truly inspirational work and living environment.



History with a future

The building’s refurbishment has been thoughtfully planned and designed to be in-keeping with its original period features and architectural style. This includes a new lift which can accommodate 8 passengers with its antique-style mirrors and floor tiles.  For the safety and convenience of the building’s occupants, there is a porter’s room on the ground floor that will be manned 24 hrs/day as they monitor the entire building with the highest quality of security equipment and multi camera CCTV system.

Creating the overall effect

When entering the building you are immediately impressed by the stunning hallway that heralds period original ceiling roses, cornices, striking, bespoke Zahna Fliesen wall tiles matching the ones originally used over a century ago and carefully renovated floor tiles and doors restored to their original splendour. Leading on from the hallway, a sweeping, ornate staircase with its original wooden hand rail and banister with engraved floral motifs and its original charcoal grey terrazzo steps takes you to the higher levels of this grand building. Each element of the staircase has been professionally renovated by master craftsmen perfectly complementing the Art Nouveau design style.
